However, it has been completely renovated and is all set to provide effective vaccines, medication and diagnostics while developing innovative approaches to deliver health services to those who need it most. We are indeed proud to announce that Surya Sahyadri Hospital is one of the first in the country to be entirely dedicated to both the state and central government healthcare schemes to serve underprivileged people. After all, being a tertiary medical care centre, our vision has always been to pioneer initiatives that surpass barriers to make a real difference in the community.”
Dr. Charudutt Apte, Chairman, Sahyadri Hospitals Ltd., concluded, “Nobody should have to choose between paying for food and paying for health care. Healthcare, indeed is the biggest barrier that prevents people from making the most of their lives. The Ayushman Bharat Scheme developed by our dear Prime Minister has highly impressed and motivated us and with the help provided by our forward-thinking government, the Surya Sahyadri Hospital will now act as an anchor institution for the benefit of the community at large, especially the under privileged. We truly feel privileged that we, as a group of private hospitals have dedicated our entire unit towards this great scheme and assure one and all that we will continue to extend our support towards other such initiatives undertaken by the government.”
