The pandemic has made all of us realize the importance of augmenting our public healthcare infrastructure and the need to be prepared for any unforeseen scenario. Governments, Corporates, Societies and Individuals have all done their bit to boost the healthcare infrastructure as the country faced the Covid battle.
The crisis is still not over, and we all believe that much more needs to be done. It is essential to remain prepared for the future. To be ready for any such testing times, Vodafone Idea Foundation has come forward to strengthen the healthcare infrastructure across many cities in India. As part of its corporate social responsibility, Vi has distributed critical medical equipment to hospitals across several cities namely Mumbai, Ahmedabad, Bengaluru, New Delhi and Pune.
Vodafone Idea Foundation has provided critical medical supplies such as oxygen cylinders (200), oxygen concentrators (100), ventilators (50), ICU Beds (18), portable X-Ray machines (9) and Infusion pumps (13) to Hospitals such as Sola Civil Hospital (Ahmedabad), Holy Family Hospital (New Delhi), KEM Hospital (Pune), Dr. R N Cooper Municipal General Hospital (Mumbai), Bowring and Lady Curzon Hospitals (Bengaluru).
Along with the medical equipment, Vi’s CSR team also facilitated training and support to machine operators to ensure proper use and maintenance of the devices.
