Greentech Foundation of California, U.S. has honoured city based real estate developer and Managing Director of City Development Corporation Aniruddha Deshpande with Leading Director Award for year 2021. The award was conferred upon
Mr Deshpande by Former Chief Minister of Jammu and Kashmir Dr Farukh Abdullah in a function in Sonmarg, Jammu and Kashmir. Greentech Foundation recognises every year the contribution of persons engaged in aspects of public life such as environment protection, social responsibility, human resources and socio-economic initiatives. Mr Deshpande has built a hostel for children of aadivasi and phase-paardhi tribe at Khamgaon near Pune. He has also implemented many programmes for farmers, women, children and people from the economically weak sections of society. Amanora Township, which is the landmark of City Development Corporation’s projects, has been recognised widely with over 300 awards and Mr Deshpande has been honoured by more than 20 certifications.

About 47 specially abled citizens and children participated in a Unique Drawing competition organized by MKSSS’s Dr. Bhanuben Nanavati College of Architecture for Women ( BNCA ) in association with Pune Smart city Development Corporation Ltd. The top three winners work and other select participant’s works of art will be painted on the walls of the Placemaking Project for Specially abled coming up at Balewadi. The competition received overwhelming response with 147 entries from 47 participants. Out of the 92 drawings submitted, three finalists were selected. Rashmi Khandekar bagged the first prize, Pratik Tripathi won the second prize while Anjali Bote stood third. Participating institutions included Hadapsar Karnabadhir Vidyalaya, Vihaan Foundation, Shivaji Maratha High School, Sunderji Institute, Anugraha Foundation, Vidya Jyoti School, Dwidal Narsinha Trust, Indian Red Cross society and Kamayani Institute.
