Pune Chapter of Karhade Brahmin Benevolent Foundation (KBBF), in its recent Global Meet in Pune awarded four
awards to successful entrepreneurs. The Udyojak Bhushan Award was given to Ashutosh Deuskar of VDA Infosolutions who took his business from scratch to a corporate with Rs 500 crore turnover. The Karhade Kalpakata Udyojak Award was given to Jayant Athalye, Managing Director, Subodhan Engineers, Pune, for special display of innovation and creativity in carrying on a
business for over 30 years successfully. The Karhade Mahila Udyojika Award went to Shilpa Huzurbazar, Sanwad Speech &
Hearing Clinic, Kolhapur, for being a first generation entrepreneur creating over employment for 50 persons. The Young Entrepreneur award under the name of Karhade Yuva Udyojak Award was given to Keshav Pitre, CloudTech India, Sindhudurg, for achieving the largest scale of operations and employment generation in a first generation business. In his speech Shrikrushna Chitale, director, Chitale Bandhu food business said, “Entrepreneurs should train and encourage the next generation of entrepreneurs and also allow them to start taking business decisions from an early stage.” He also explained how he convinced his nephew not to take up a high-paying overseas job and work instead for the family business, which ultimately led to full automation of their milk processing unit at Bhilawadi.
