Gera’s Carnival of Joy was a day of fun and learning for residents of Gera’s Greensville

Gera Developments recently organized ‘Carnival of Joy-2018’, a day long event, for the residents of Gera’s Greensville. The event,  conceptualized to aid discovery of what children are truly passionate about, was unique in that it combined both developmental and fun activities. Children across age groups were given the opportunity to try their hands at a sport or a hobby at the celebrity led academies at Gera’s Song of Joy.
Gera’s Carnival of Joy had mini workshops offered by each academy. Children and parents could attend any of these workshops and experience firsthand what each academy had to offer. The workshops combined activity based learning with tips and techniques and thus made for very engaging sessions. Some had a competitive twist which had the kids and parents all excited. Carefully curated to ensure that children learn while having fun, these workshops saw kids make a beeline. From learning popular tunes with a classical twist at the Classicapella workshop by the Shankar Mahadevan Academy to dabbling in Bollywood dance at the Shiamak Davar Dance Academy, to facing a mean machine pelting googlies at Anil Kumble’s Tenvic, to expressing their creative side at the art and craft workshop, to relays at the half Olympic size pool at Gera’s Song of Joy, both children and parents were spoilt for choice.

  1. Rohit Gera, MD, Gera Developments said, “At Gera Developments, we seek to nurture the community by bringing people together.  The Carnival of Joy was our endeavor to encourage the process of discovery by allowing residents of Gera’s Greensville to experience each of our academies firsthand. While with the product – Gera’s ChildCentricTM Homes, we have created a multifaceted living space that allows a child to choose and develop across art, sports, dance, music etc, something that every parent wants to offer their child, the carnival of joy was our attempt to encourage them to participate and discover what they truly enjoy and are passionate about. The response has been very encouraging and I am confident that parents and children alike will develop their talents at the fully functional, world-class academies on their campus.”
