Vigilance Awareness Week at Bank of Maharashtra

Bank of Maharashtra is celebrating ‘Vigilance Awareness Week’ from 28th October to 2nd November, 2019 with the theme “Integrity- A way of life”,  at all its offices and branches.  The celebration commenced with taking Integrity Pledge by all the executives, officers and employees of the Bank.  A motorcycle rally was also organized on this occasion.  Executive Directors A C Rout and Hemant Tamta along with L N Rath, Chief Vigillence Officer, flagged off the rally at Bank’s Head Office. Placards on importance of ‘integrity’ were displayed in the rally. Shri P R Khatavkar, General Manager & Zonal Manager, Pune City Zone; Shri P K Dash, Zonal Manager, Pune West Zone and Ms Mrudul Joglekar, Deputy General Manager, Vigilance were amongst the participants in motor cycle rally.

And at Bank of India too

Public sector Bank of India is observing Vigilance Awareness Week (VAW) from 28th October-2nd November 2019 . During the observance of VAW 2019 several outreach programmes involving masses are organized in Schools/Colleges/Institutions and by holding gram Sabhas to spread the message of vigilance Awareness. The Bank has marked the event with the release of three short video clips on the theme of card phishing, KYC fraud and ATM fraud. The movies are entirely in-house production of Bank of India have been critically acclaimed. Under this outreach initiative, Bank of India on 31st October 2019 along with eight other Banks/Financial institutions (Viz. State Bank of India, Bank of Baroda, Punjab National Bank, NABARD, SIDBI, CANARA BANK, New India Assurance Co and Vigilance Study Circle –Mumbai Chapter) organized a human chain encompassing the entire length of BKC area with nearly 2000 staffers participating.

‘Proud Fathers For Daughters’ 2019

In recognition of the converging roles of Mothers and Fathers in raising a child, the sixth edition of ‘Proud Fathers For Daughters’ had for the first time ever, extended an invitation to mothers to get photographs clicked with their daughters. The ‘Proud Fathers for Daughters’ 2019 weekend raised funds to help educate 750 Nanhi Kalis, a 66 percent increase in fund raising over the 2018 edition. With a new #Mission5000 theme, targeting the education of 5000 underprivileged girls, ‘Proud Fathers for Daughters’ 2019 was larger than ever with over 300 portraits clicked of Fathers and Mothers with their daughters.As a continuation of the endeavour, Project Nanhi Kali will be reaching out to all fathers and mothers of daughters through social media platforms extending an appeal to click a picture of themselves (at home, and more of a selfie) and post it on their handles tagging Nanhi Kali, to spread awareness about girl child education and help achieve #Mission5000.  Conceptualized in the aftermath of the Nirbhaya incident by ace photographer Atul Kasbekar and Chairman of the Mahindra Group, Anand Mahindra, in an endeavor to change mindsets and prejudices against the girl child, the first edition of ‘Proud Fathers For Daughters’ was held in 2014.  This year the eight master photographers who devoted their time and talent over two days to capture some very special father-daughter moments on camera, were  Atul Kasbekar, Colston Julian, Jaideep Oberoi, Prasad Naik, Tarun Khiwal, Tarun Vishwa,Tejal Patni and Sunhil Sippy.

Online portal launch of “IOB Health Care Plus Insurance policy”

Indian Overseas Bank launched IOB Health Care Insurance Policy through an online platform across its branches to issue Health Insurance Policy provided by Universal Sompo General insurance Co. Ltd. Indian Overseas Bank Health Care Plus Policy (IOB HCP), a Co-branded Health Insurance is exclusively designed by Universal Sompo General Insurance company  for the IOB Customers with a Sum Insured starting from Rs.50,000 to Rs.15 Lakhs. The policy issuance will be made on a real-time basis at the IOB Bank branches to its customers. Self, Spouse, Dependent children, dependent parents can be covered. The premium is charged as per the age of the proposer with No Medical check up upto 50 years of age.
