Belvalkar Housing Sanskrutik Manch to host ‘Anubhuti’ a music program

Belvalkar Housing Sanskrutik Manch has organized ‘Anubhuti’ a musical program at M.E.S. Auditorium, Balshikshan School Campus, Mayur Colony on Friday 22nd November, 2019 at 5.30pm.The program is free for all. The program will feature Yogesh Samasi’s solo Tablavadan and Ajit Belvalkar’s Sarod playing while Swapnil Bhise (Tabla) and Abhishek Shinkar (Harmonium) will accompany them. Belvalkar Housing Sanskrutik Manch was founded by Belvalkar Housing Directors , Sameer Belvalkar and Ajit Belvalkar and aims to take different aspects of Indian culture to the youth.

Scholarships under Samsung Star Scholar Program 

Samsung India has announced scholarships for 560 Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya (JNV) students under its Samsung Star Scholar program. Under this program, each year, Samsung offers scholarships to meritorious JNV students pursuing a full term B. Tech/Dual Degree (B.Tech + M.Tech) course in any Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) or a National Institute of Technology (NIT) in India. Samsung India is currently accepting applications for scholarship for the academic year 2019-2020 and the last date for submission for application and all related documents is December 10, 2019. Program offers a scholarship of up to Rs 2 lakh for expenses of tuition, examination, hostel and mess for one academic year. ICMR Award for Dr.Cyrus Poonawalla

Bill Gates, Co-Chair, Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation,  conferred ‘ICMR Lifetime Achievement Medal’ Cyrus Poonawalla, Founder  and Chairman of  Serum Institute of India on 17th November 2019 in a function at Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR), New Delhi. Dr. Poonawalla has been widely acknowledged for his unparalleled and continuous mission of global immunization and his path defining philanthropic initiatives. In 1966 hee established Serum Institute of India which today is the world’s largest producer of vaccines by number of doses, producing more than 1.5 billion doses a year of life-saving vaccines. These doses are administered in over 170 countries to combat infection from Rabies, Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Whooping Cough, Tetanus, Diphtheria, Tuberculosis, Influenza, Meningitis, Rotavirus and Hepatitis B Vaccines among others,thus saving the lives of more than 40 million mostly under-privileged children across the globe, who would have otherwise perished without the availability of affordable vaccines.
