Chemicals manufacturer Huntsman inaugurated the newly renovated Zilla Parishad Primary School building at Bhamboli Village in Chakan Tehsil of Pune in Maharashtra. The revamped government school building, renovated in association with Mitcon Foundation, will now hold a capacity of 120 students with Huntsman remaining committed towards the holistic development of Bhamboli village. Huntsman, through its Corporate Social Responsibility interventions, remains keen to further education at the grass roots level, providing improved educational infrastructure for students aged six to ten. In association with ARCH Foundation, Huntsman has launched a program with a focus on improving education, teacher capacity building and activity-based learning. Harshad Naik, Managing Director, India Subcontinent, Huntsman International India Pvt Ltd, said, “Education, Health and Environment are the three pillars of Huntsman’s CSR policy. We believe education is the foremost right of every child. This initiative is a critical step towards the holistic development of children and communities. Robotics Exhibition at RSCOE evokes good response
JSPM’s, Rajarshi Shahu Engineering College, Thathwade campus, in association with India First Robotics recently organized Robotics Exhibition at Mechanical Engineering Deapartment of the college. Avinash Badadhe, HoD, Mechanical Department, RSCOE, said about 3,000 students visited the exhibition and expressed satisfaction that the exhibition provided much needed knowledge of robotics technology. Prashant Gaikwad, Manager of India First Robotics informed that the exhibition was organized as part of the initiative to introduce and train the students for this futuristic technology. Dr R.K Jain, Principal of JSPM, RSCOE said that with autonomous status our Mechanical Engineering department will be starting independent courses in robotics and automation.
Body Box machine at Pune’s Ruby Hall Clinic
An ultra modern Body Box machine to carry out Pulmonary Function Test has been installed at Ruby Hall Clinic. Dr. Purvez Grant Grant, Chief Cardiologist and Managing Trustee, Ruby Hall Clinic, Bomi Bhote, CEO, Ruby Hall Clinic, Dr. Kishor Pujari, COO, Ruby Hall Clinic, Dr. Sanjay Pathare, Medical Director, Ruby Hall Clinic, Dr. Amir Khoja, Consultant Pulmonologist, Ruby Hall Clinic, and Dr. Mahavir Modi, Consultant Pulmonologist, Ruby Hall Clinic were present at the event. Dr. Khoja said the Body box machine has Ultrasonic sensor for highly accurate results. It has flexible 3D arm which can swing outside for subjects which cannot enter the cabin. It can detect different types of lung volume, age of the lung, residual capacity. It can also detect early diagnosis of occupational lung disease or if the lung is normal or abnormal.
