Hemant Kumar Tamta today (31 December 2018) took over as the Executive Director for a period of three years. He has a long career in banking, spanning 33 years, starting as a Probationary Officer with Canara Bank in 1985. Prior to his appointment in Bank of Maharashtra, he headed the Retail Asset Wing of Canara Bank. Under his leadership, the bank recorded the highest-ever growth in this segment.
Hemant Kumar Tamta has held various important assignments in banking during his tenure and was instrumental in the refinement of the bank’s core policies.
He comes with a wealth of experience across segments of banking and has worked in different roles across the branches and administrative offices of Canara bank. He has also headed the flagship Delhi Circle of Canara Bank, as well as the branches in Nagpur and Agra.
Shri Tamta holds an LLB degree, MBA and an IBCF in Banking & Finance.
