City based Kohinoor Group, engaged in real estate, student housing, industrial parks and construction technology along with Indospace, India’s premier developer of industrial and warehousing parks have planned joint development of an industrial park across 200 acres at Chakan industrial area near Pune.
A memorandum of understanding to this effect was signed recently between the Government of Maharashtra, Kohinoor Group and Indospace. Maharashtra Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray, State Industry Minister Subhash Desai, Dr. P. Anbalagan, CEO MIDC, Rajesh Goyal – Joint Managing Director Kohinoor Group, Deepak Deshpande, Director – Indospace and Nitin Gawli from Indospace were present during the MoU signing.
Speaking about this development Rajesh Goyal, Joint Managing Director, Kohinoor Group said, “This industrial park shall contain BTS (Built-To-Suit) warehouses and manufacturing units. After completing all the required procedures we expect to start the construction work by the second quarter of the next calendar year and complete the same in the next 4-5 years.”
“We are happy to continue and strengthen our association with Indospace in this regard and take forward our positioning as a leading developer of industrial parks in Pune region. This will be our third joint project with Indospace in Pune and second in Chakan. Before this we have jointly developed about 2 million square feet of warehousing space across 80 acres of land parcel at Chakan MIDC and 1.2 million square feet at Ranjangaon MIDC which will soon be taken to 3 million square feet”, he added.
In the last 30 years Kohinoor group developed and delivered 4 million square feet across Pune and has given home to 5000 plus happy families. Its student accommodation venture ‘Youthville’ has built a capacity of about 2000 beds at various locations in Mumbai and Pune.
