YouTube sessions for 11th and 12th standard students to strengthen understanding of basic concepts of Maths, Physics, Chemistry
As a part of it’s social initiative, the Pune-based IITian’s Prashikshan Kendra (IIT-PK) has launched a FREEBASICS course for Std.11-12 students on Youtube wherein students can learn the basic concepts of Maths, Physics and Chemistry free of cost from expert IIT-PK Faculties. Lectures shall be beamed live from 11 am to 12 noon every day from Mon to Sat from June-23 onwards. Recordings of lectures shall be available on *IITP CLASSROOM* which is the YouTube channel of IIT-PK.
Durgesh Mangeshkar , Director IITian’s Prashikshan Kendra (IIT-PK) said that the pandemic has inflicted untold damage on the Education sector in the past 15 months especially on those students who did not have seamless internet connectivity or who were part of those schools, colleges and coaching classes which could not deliver online education properly. FREEBASICS is an initiative of IIT-PK to help deprived Science students and to those who cannot afford or avail high quality coaching in vital Science subjects.
He added that the students of Std. 11-12 of Science stream have suffered the most as the subjects are conceptual, have high difficulty level and need specialist teachers. Family members may usually find it difficult to teach these topics too.
