Self-defense is not just about fighting back but also instilling confidence and to build this confidence Harley Riders launched a unique initiative driven by Yasin Dunge of ‘Safety of Woman Foundation’ which aims at training women about self-defense techniques to protect themselves with a national ride. The riders recently reached Pune Two-Rivers Harley Davidson to engage with the audience and conducted self-defense training sessions.
Seven Islands HOG Yasin Dunge, Rider & Self-Defense specialist has taken up this unique initiative to create awareness drive and show the world that Indian girls are strong & brave enough to protect themselves. Mr. Yasin Dunge along with his four friends namely Mr. Davendra Singh, Mr. Varun Ganjawalla, Mr. Rukhshana Vakil and Sahill Kathuria imparted 30 mins practical safety session of self-defense techniques and precautions at the Two-Rivers Harley Davidson, Pune.
The riding tour was flagged off from Mumbai on 10th February, and the team of bikers have covered major cities like Surat, Baroda, Ahmedabad, Jaipur, Delhi, Lucknow, Patna, Kolkata, Bhuwaneshwar, Vishakapatnam, Chennai, Bangalore, Kolhapur and reached Pune today. The bikers will be covering a total 6,170kms. Two Rivers Chapter Committee extending their support by donating Rs 30000 to Safety of women Foundation
On this occasion Mr. Yasin Dunge, Seven Islands HOG said, “I believe awareness and demand for self-defense training must increase which will surely boost women’s self-confidence and eventually they will stand for their own safety. Our main vision and mission is to make our Indian girls strong by training them with self- defense technique which includes jab cross with palm & distraction with face or eye ball etc.” He further added, I would like to thank Surjit Rajpurohit, Director, Two-Rivers Chapter and Kulpreet Freddy Vesuna, Two-Rivers Chapter Ladies of Harley Officer for empowering & supporting the self-defense awareness drive in the city”.
