Saiyam Short Film Contest for Anti-addiction se

Tarachand Ramnath Seva Trust, a leading social organization in Pune, which has made significant contributions in the field of education and health through schools and charitable hospitals has been taking vital steps towards making Pune ‘an Addiction-free city’ through its Saiyam project. The Trust, since 2019-20 has imparted training to over 7,000 school boys and girls in the age group of 13 to 16 over Anti-addiction through its reputed Implementing and Knowledge Partner, Jnana Prabodhini Sanshodhan Sanstha.Taking it forward, the Trust, this year has joined hands with the MIT-ADT University in Pune and will be organizing a ‘Saiyam Short Film Contest’ on the theme, Anti Addiction Awareness.Dr. Saleel Kulkarni, Mr. Sandeep Khare, Prof. Amit Tyagi (Ex Dean FTII) and Dr. Anagha Lavalekar is the jury panelist for this event. City Pride is the screening partner, Round Table India is the engagement partner and MIT – ADT is the academic partner for the film festival. The best films produced from this competition will be screened in various parts of Pune and reach upto 50,000 students in one year to create awareness on addiction.The competition will feature two types of film productions, that will include short films of less than 90 seconds and short films of more than 90 seconds to 10 minutes and a total of 6 prizes have been announced for the films standing first, second and third. Totalling up to INR 5 Lakhs. Also, a special award has been announced for the best female filmmaker and best young filmmaker award has been declared. Round Table India has sponsored an award worth Rs. 25,000 for young filmmakers under the age of 16. All participants will be honoured with a digital certificate of participation, while the winners will be conferred with a physical certificate and a badge of honour.An appeal has been made by the Trustees of Tarachand Ramnath Seva Trust including Nandkishore Rathi and Ratan Rathi to make the campaign for an addiction-free Pune a success and to protect the future generation from addictions by participating in the competition in maximum numbers.There is no age limit to participate in this film festival.
