Software Exporters’ Association of Pune (SEAP) will host the 8th edition of its flagship event ‘Pune Connect 2019’ on Saturday, 14 December 2019 at Hyatt Regency, Nagar Road, Pune. The event will hold a day-long conference aimed at helping professionals and organizations understand the recipe of success in a transforming and connected world.
Abhijit Atre, Chairman of Pune Connect, said in a press conference that the event – with the theme ‘Future in the Connected World,’ will run on three tracks dedicated to Technology, Research and Workforce. These sessions will shed light on some of the important trends likely to impact businesses.
Business Leaders, Entrepreneurs, Researchers, Academicians and Leadership Experts will share their vision and experiences on how technology is impacting the lives of people or research is shaping the future of technology and discuss the future of workforce, inclusivity and leadership in the digital age. The sessions will also host Gurukul Felicitation and Corporate Awards.
Pune Connect since its inception in 2011 has been bringing IT Enterprises, Start-ups, Scaleups, ITES, and Engineering research organizations together on a common platform. The outline of the program primarily is to help promote start-ups in Pune, which has become a hub for budding entrepreneurs and enterprises. This year, the organizers received 75 applications of start-ups, out of which 34 were interviewed and about 20 are invited to participate.
Top 5 startups will get an opportunity to present their idea on the stage and put up a pitch for business and investment, while top 3 winners will get an invitation to get enrolled with the Hatch programme from Digital Ocean.
“There have been 776 applications from start ups over last 8 years and out of that 258 have been given chance to come up and show their products and services at the event. Besides learning about new technology trends and strategies to adopt and understand how technologies are evolving, the participants also get exposure and business networking opportunities with Investors, VCs, and eco-system players in Pune region,” said Ashwin Megha.
“With an increasing footfall each year, this event brings something for everyone who is part of the IT eco-system in Pune. With the world around us changing rapidly and technology taking prominent part in our lives, its important for individuals and organizations to prepare themselves to be part of the connected world,” said Atre.
