Artists from various sketching chapters to attend the expo, which will showcase Pune heritage
Urban Sketchers Pune has organized a unique art expo called ‘Sketchfest 06’, which digs deep into the heart of Pune, showcasing its heritage from Friday, December 2 to Sunday December 4, 2022 at St. Vincent High School from 10 am to 7 pm.
This will be the 6th edition of the expo.Giving more information about Sketchfest 06′. Architect Shruti Utgikar, Group Committee Member said, “With the theme ‘Pune Heritage’, this art festival is going to be full of innovative programs along with beautiful sketches by 60 artists. Sketchwalks will be organized every morning and evening along with workshops, presentations, art talks, art exhibitions and sales. The highlight of the event will be the sketches done by Urban Sketchers under the age of 15.To inculcate the importance and taste of urban sketching in children for the first time, a sketching workshop for school children has also been organized.”Chief Guest Patrick Ng, Vice President of the International Urban Sketchers based in Singapore will inaugurate the expo, while Subrat Pal, CEO of Pune Cantonment Board will be present as the Guest of Honour.For the first time in this festival, the artists from various provincial sketching chapters from all across including Mumbai, Bangalore, Goa and Kolhapur will participate in the event. The entry will be free of cost for the expo but the workshops will be at a fee.
