A 24×7 café with top-notch food, IT standard Wi-Fi, entertainment zones and study areas are a part of the package at each Tribe venue; starting with the very first accommodation space to be launched in Pune this month.
“The vision for this asset class is to provide holistic living for all students,” says company co-founder Yogesh Mehra, who has more than 20 years of experience in the real estate industry. Already a stalwart when it comes to introducing future trends in this sector, Mr.Mehra believes that India can aspire to be an education hub within South East Asia, if it were to focus on improving the overall experience of career aspiring students. Tribe aims to make this prospect possible.
Created after extensive research and analysis of the exact pain points of the studentliving experience given existing lodging options, Tribe Student Accommodation provides high quality, secure, hygienic and well-designed student housing, to improve the quality of a student’s life and provide maximum convenience and peace of mind to students and their parents. Designed for the discerning, Tribe elevates the student housing experience into a community that thrives together. “Further to research, we began raising investment for our pilot project at Viman Nagar, Pune, with 194 beds. After pitching to several retail and institutional investors, we secured seed funding at a 20cr valuation in June, 2018. We then raised a second round at a 35cr valuation, that has propelled us to our launch with 825 beds,” says co-founder ShantamMehra, explaining the genesis of this space.
Having created Tribe’s first venue in Pune, the company will move to several other university towns and cities such as Indore, Bengaluru, Delhi NCR, Mumbai and Chennai in the near future.
Internationally benchmarked with a clear mission to uplift the quality of student living in India, every venue created under this brand will be of a consistently high standard, with the same premium facilities. Skilled professionals will manage the day-to-day operations at each site, to ensure standards are maintained across the board. All campuses are CCTV enabled with access control systems integrated with RFID bands to track every student. Concierge services take the hassle out of nitty-gritty matters, so that students can concentrate on their education. Female students are housed on separate floors, with complete access control only for the girl student, with female security and housekeeping staff. In addition, emergency and medical services are available around the clock.
With 6-month and 12-month stay packages tailored to the university academic year starting at Rs. 1,17,000 and Rs. 2,10,000 respectively, the summer vacations will see tie-ups with hostels and IT companies to increase occupancy by adopting a daily charge model.
Using technology to best effect, Tribe Student Accommodation is designed to be a cashless and keyless campus, with all payments and access available only via an RFID band. An online top-up of this band is available at your fingertips, which parents and students can access via a designated website (www.tribestays.com) and app. An online student portal is another highlight, with dashboards for student meal intake, attendance, feedback loops, query lists and so on.
Ample parking is another thoughtful addition to each venue.
