Tata Technologies has appointed Ajoyendra Mukherjee and Nivruti Rai as independent members of its Board of Directors. Ajoyendra Mukherjee (Ajoy) is an industry veteran with deep domain knowledge and experience across the IT/ITES industry. He superannuated from TCS in April 2019 after heading the Global Human Resources function for TCS for several years. He joined Tata Consultancy Services in 1980, immediately after he graduated from BITS. During his tenure in TCS, Ajoy worked in diverse roles and held key leadership positions, including head of India and Middle East & Africa (MEA) business units, head of TCS operations in Eastern India, Country Head of Switzerland and South Africa, Global Head of Energy & Utilities Practice and headed the Global CSR function. In his role as the Head of Global Human Resources function for TCS, Ajoy played a key role in scaling up TCS to over 400,000 professionals spread across 50 countries. Nivruti Rai is an industry leader with deep domain knowledge and experience across the product engineering and technology landscape. She is currently designated as vice president, Intel Foundry Services, at Intel Corporation and Country Head of Intel India. She joined Intel in 1995 and subsequently worked in the CPU development organization in Oregon. She moved to India in 2005 to manage the R&D of mobile platform technologies used for handheld and laptop computers. In her previous role as vice president in Intel’s Platform Engineering Group, she led teams across the United States, Costa Rica, Israel, Malaysia, and India charged with developing innovative analog and mixed-signal intellectual property (IP) blocks and IP subsystems for Intel’s system-on-chip pBoardroducts.

Vasudevan brings over 28 years of global leadership experience in the manufacturing and chemical sectors. ICICI Securities (I-Sec) has announced the appointment of Nilotpal Gupta as the Head of its Data Science Unit, taking another step in the direction of strengthening its data and analytics acumen. Gupta, who has over 20 years of experience in analytics and related roles in the financial services and technology industry, was previously the Director of Analytics and Information Management at Citi. He is a Computer Science engineer from Madras University, Chennai. Gupta has expertise in data engineering, data architecture, descriptive/predictive analytics, data visualisation, and other similar segments in addition to analytics. He has also held leadership positions at companies like Bajaj Finance, Mindtree, Accenture and Wipro.
