Danfoss Power Solutions to set up Rs 1000 cr plant in Pune

The new facility will help the company to expand production capacity, drive innovation, and support sustainability initiatives in India in a phased approach
Campus to include Application Development Center (ADC) for machinery research and development

Global supplier of electric powertrain systems, mobile and industrial hydraulics Danfoss Power Solutions has planned an investment of Rs 1000 crore to set up its seventh plantin India.
Ground breaking for the plant took place on Tuesday (4 March 2025) at Talegaon, Pune in Western India. This strategic investment will more than double Danfoss Power Solutions’ manufacturing footprint in India while helping the company meet its sustainability targets. Danfoss at present has manufacturing facilities in Chennai, Mumbai, Vadodara, Bengaluru, and two in Pune.
The new plant will go operational in the middle of 2026, Daniel Winter, President, Danfoss Power Solutions, told media persons.
Danfoss Group has steadily expanded its manufacturing and research and development capabilities in India, playing a significant role in the country’s industrial growth.
Situated on a 44-acre plot of land, the Talegaon campus will enable Danfoss to enhance production capacity for existing Danfoss Power Solutions product lines, such as pumps, motors, cylinders, and valves. The company will also be able to introduce new product lines to meet growing customer demand and drive sustainability initiatives, contributing to Danfoss’ commitment to decarbonize global operations by 2030.
The company plans to establish an Applications Development Centre within the plant to drive collaborative engineering with local customers, enabling faster research and development cycles.
“Our new state-of-the-art facility in Pune will enable us to better support local customers by enhancing our production capabilities and delivering sustainable solutions,” Winter said . “India is poised for tremendous industrial growth, and our investment will increase Danfoss’ capacity to support such growth. This new facility represents our commitment to India and to providing localized, high-quality solutions that help our customers succeed in a rapidly evolving market.”
