The collaboration is a long-term strategic partnership with Kinetic Green aligning to adopt Musashi’s next-generation technologies in future phases of the program including advancements under its upcoming platforms
Musashi India Pvt. Ltd. has signed a Letter of Intent (LOI) with Pune’s Kinetic Green Energy & Power Solutions Limited for supply of integrated electric powertrain systems for Kinetic Green’s upcoming two-wheeler platforms.
Under this partnership, Musashi India will supply a side mounted e-Axle which provides an integrated complete powertrain solution comprising Motor, Gearbox, and Controller (VCU & MCU) for Kinetic Green’s next-generation electric two-wheelers. The pilot batch supplies will commence in December 2026, followed by start of production (SOP) with manufacturing at Musashi Delta e-Axle India’s existing facility in Bengaluru.
The powertrain solution will feature a 4.7kW IPM motor integrated with a gearbox in a side-mounted e-Axle configuration, designed to deliver enhanced performance, efficiency, and reliability for the two-wheeler segment. Musashi has developed a 2W side-mount e-Axle by leveraging its expertise in integrating the gearbox, motor, and controller into a single compact unit. This advanced solution delivers higher range which may benefit customers in optimization of battery cost through size reduction while also ensuring high durability with reduced service and maintenance compared to center and hub-mounted drive systems. Additionally, the side-mount configuration allows for increased luggage space compared to conventional center-mount designs.
