Godrej Wealth Enters Pune, strengthening its Maharashtra presence as part of national expansion

To offer curated wealth creation solutions based on aspirations of customers

Godrej Industries Group’s wealth management arm Godrej Wealth has announced its entry into Pune, marking its second location in Maharashtra after Mumbai.
The expansion forms part of the company’s national growth strategy, with an ambition to reach ₹1 lakh crore in assets under management(AUM) and establish a presence across 35 locations by 2031.
Godrej Wealth will primarily address the investment aspirations of 22500 high net worth Pune households with assets of a million US dollars (approx Rs 10 crore), Kunal Karnani, CEO, Godrej Wealth, said in a press briefing.
“Pune brings together different kinds of wealth creators – from multi-generational business families and entrepreneurs to senior professionals with increasingly global careers. Each comes with different priorities, circumstances and expectations from their wealth. This requires a deeper understanding of the individual and the decisions that matter to them, rather than a product-led approach. Our work on Godrej Signals and Godrej Choice, supported through an academic collaboration with the faculty of IIT Bombay, is part of how we are building this approach. As we build in Pune, our focus will be on hiring experienced Wealth Managers, backed by technology and capabilities, to build meaningful and long-term client relationships.”  Karnani said.
A statement released at the time of briefing said  Pune represents a distinctive and mature wealth market. With approximately ₹3.14 lakh crore in mutual fund AUM as of March 2026, Pune is India’s fourth-largest mutual fund market. The city is also home to around 22,500 “dollar millionaire” households, reflecting its growing wealth base, the statement said, adding the city’s strong manufacturing, automotive and engineering base is complemented by more than 500 GCCs and a growing startup ecosystem, which raised over US$450 million in 2025. Together, these sectors are creating diverse pools of wealth across established business families, entrepreneurs and globally exposed professionals, the statement said.
