Mahindra Logistics strengthens partnership with the Volkswagen 

Third-Party Logistics (3PL) solution provider Mahindra Logistics Limited (MLL)has announced that it has further strengthened its association with the Volkswagen Group India.  MLL will manage the first of its kind Parts Distribution Centre (PDC) of the Volkswagen Group, India at NCR and Bangalore. The project spans operating two best in class PDCs that will feed spare parts to the Volkswagen Group, India dealer partners in North, East and Southern regions of India. As part of this solution, MLL will manage more than 200000 sq. ft. of warehousing space and PDC operations, servicing the Volkswagen Group, India through a variable and scalable model. MLL currently services the inbound and outbound transportation of spare parts from Regional Distribution Centre (RDC) in Chakan, Pune – including export and import, In-plant Logistics, Just in Time (JIT) & Just in Sequence (JIS) at the Volkswagen Group production facility in Chakan, Pune.

SpiceJet to  operate  from Terminal 2 of Mumbai airport

Private airline SpiceJet has said it will shift its entire Mumbai operations to the state-of-the-art Terminal 2 of the city’s Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport with effect from 1 October, 2019.  The consolidation of operations (both passenger and cargo) will help SpiceJet efficiently service thousands of passengers travelling on the airline to and from the Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport across both its domestic and international networks by bringing all the operations under one Terminal. It will lead to better synergies and cut down costs substantially for the airline. SpiceJet, at present, operates 150 daily flights connecting Mumbai.

Direct Taxes Code Seminar in Pune on 23 August
