TCS Launches Pace Port Tokyo to Drive Customer Business 4.0 Journeys

Tata Consultancy Services has announced the launch of TCS Pace Port Tokyo, the first of several new global hubs planned under TCS Pace, a new brand identity for its research, innovation, and digital transformation services that are at the core of customers’ Business 4.0 journeys.

TCS Pace Port Tokyo will form a creative hub for Japanese customers, providing end-to-end consulting, design and implementation of digital services, and capitalizing on TCS Japan’s particular strength in the field of IoT solutions.

TCS Pace Port Tokyo will be composed of flexible modular spaces, featuring:

  • Innovation Showcase: A presentation and engagement facility that helps customers to visualize the digital Art-of-the-Possible.
  • TCS Think Space: Custom studio for rapid ideation and contextualization of new ideas addressing customers’ most pressing business challenges.
  • TCS COIN™ Accelerator: Collaborative space for TCS employees, customer teams and promising start-ups to co-create solutions.
  • Agile Workspace: Fully equipped agile working environment to run business solution concepts, with devoted virtual environments engineered to emulate real-world conditions.

Japanese companies possess many world-class solutions and cutting edge technologies, but sometimes face challenges in branching out beyond traditional channels, models, and customer segments—a necessary trait for organizations to succeed in the Business 4.0 era,” said Tetsuya Nakamura, Chief Digital Innovation Officer, TCS Japan. “TCS Pace Port Tokyo provides a gateway for our customers to access and build a collaborative ecosystem of start-ups, technology partners and academic institutions, for driving innovation, stimulating growth and delivering exponential value.”

The global network of TCS Pace Ports will ignite collaborative experimentation, research, rapid product prototyping, and continuous learning alongside customers, partners, academia, and analysts – pushing current boundaries and driving business transformations through the application of cutting edge digital technologies.

The comprehensive and creative processes used in each TCS Pace Port will guide TCS’ customers through the discovery, definition, refinement, and delivery phases of innovation. TCS Pace Ports will allow for greater agility, speed, creativity, impact, and scalability to realize customers’ digital transformation journeys – in order to stay firmly ahead of ongoing market shifts and customer needs.

“Digital technologies offer business and government organizations great opportunities to grow and transform lives. However, this calls for a mindset change, becoming agile and embracing risks—key tenets of TCS’ Business 4.0 framework,” said Amur S. Lakshminarayanan, President and CEO, Representative Director, Tata Consultancy Services Japan. “The establishment of TCS Pace Port Tokyo is a powerful boost to TCS Japan’s commitment to be our customers’ catalyst for business innovation.”
