On the eve of the Republic Day of India this year, Shivshahir Babasaheb Purandare has been honored with the Padma Vibhushan award by the Government. Shri Hemant Kumar Tamta, Executive Director of Bank of Maharashtra congratulated and felicitated him by visiting at his residence.
On the occasion Babasaheb, said, ‘I am grateful and blessed. He further added that he could reach to today’s proud moment, because of teachings and culture which had been cultivated by his guru and father and he is highly indebted to them. He further added that today, even at the age of 97, I desire to write and study in the remaining life span On the special mention of Bank of Maharashtra, he said that I am a satisfied customer of the bank’s Parvati branch. Shri Tamta felicitated Shivshahir Babasaheb by offering shawl and bouquet. Mahesh Mahabaleshwarkar, General Manager of the bank and Abhimanu Shendge, Branch Manager Parvati branch were also present on the occasion.
