Ujjwal Kanti Bhattacharya has taken charge as Director (Projects), NTPC on 28 August, 2020. Bhattacharya joined NTPC in year 1984 as Ninth Batch of Engineering Executive Trainees. An Electrical Engineering Graduate from Jadavpur University, Kolkata, he has also completed his PG Diploma in Management from MDI, Gurgaon. Before his appointment as Director (Projects) Bhattacharya has worked as MD and CEO (Bangladesh India Friendship Power Company Limited), ED (International Business Development) and ED (Projects), NTPC. Bhattacharya has significantly contributed for NTPC’s vertical & horizontal business diversification as well as growth through inorganic route. He has had an illustrious career in Business Development function of NTPC in Domestic as well as International Arena with special focus on NTPC’s diversification into hydroelectricity with acquisition of Koldam and setting up of subsidiary company namely NESCL for electricity distribution business. He has been at the forefront of JV formulation & Project conceptualization for 1320 MW Maitree Power Project at Bangladesh.

He is responsible for Distribution & Branch Operations, Customer Service, New Business & Underwriting and Claims. With over 26 years of rich and diversified experience in the BFSI sector, Atri has dedicated 17 years plus in the insurance domain. As the Chief Technology and Data Officer (CT&DO), Sankaranarayanan R (Sankar) will drive the digital, data and technology disruptions at the organisation. His role encompasses handling Information Technology, and Data & Analytics function covering aspects of Applications, Infra & IT Security and Analytics. With a career spanning over 25 years in the insurance sector, Sankar has spearheaded technology and operations in India and abroad. He specialises in digital and technology implementation.
PC Vikram to head Pre-Production Services at ReDefine visual effects and animation 
services company ReDefine has announced the appointment of PC Vikram to head their newly launched Pre-Production services. His installation at the head of the department will see him helm a full range of services that include concept art, storyboarding, pre-visualization and virtual production, leveraging DNEG’s market leading technology infrastructure across these fields. Vikram joins ReDefine as the Head of Pre-Production based in the company’s Mumbai studio. Prior to joining ReDefine, Vikram enjoyed a stellar 25-year career as an art director, story-writer and animation supervisor working for reputed global production studios such as Disney, Dreamworks, Nickelodeon, Technicolor, Zynga and Square Enix, where he contributed to big gaming franchises.
